The local muffler place told me that the 50 series delta flow was very restrictive and would not allow my truck to gain much HP, but he then went on to say that the 40 series delta flow was the best choice for performance ?

is this yahoo correct, or am i correct with going with the 50 series delta flow.

The 50 will breath better then your stock muffler for sure, and the 40 will breath the best but will also be the loudest. Go with the one you want, not what the muffler shop wants.

I sure liked my 40 series when I had my '97 4x4. But a 50 series will sound the same except more quiet.
