Subject: Oil Leak-1991 Dakota 2.5L IP: Logged
Message: Oil leaks into the air cleaner housing, then out a hole in the bottom. It comes through a tube that originates from the valve cover (breather tube?). Any ideas on how to fix this? It used to happen only after an oil change, but now it happens all the time.

Message: Yeah, it's jus' the breather tube. It's really not a problem, unless it's really excessive. You could put a longer peice of hose between the hard plastic line and the airbox. And route it so it droops down in the middle. That way no more oil would be able to works it's way into the box.
Or you could do like most of us and get rid of that hose and jus' put on one of those reeeeaaaally little K&N filters.

Message: You might try a PCV valve anyway- they're cheap in the aftermarket and it probably won't hurt things...
