Message: plug in and my 4.7 does not? Or am I just missing something here. I think it is a 5.9 L in my uncles Durango (it has the big engine).

Message: Plug in? As in "plugs into an electric outlet"? If that's the case he's probably just got a block heater. Used to see them all the time in MN where the winter's get sub-zero. Just makes that morning start easier.
Or are you talking of something else????

Message: I am sorry. I should have been more specific but after spending all my time at dodge-diesel.com I forget to mention that.
Yes, the block heater. Do all 5.9's come with them? What about the 4.7's? I can't find one under my hood. His is on the left front looking at the front of the truck with the hood open.

Message: No all vehicles don't have them. Think about it, what good would the be in louisiana? It's an option you can get.
