Message: The sun came out today and it looks like it was a hard winter on my windshield. Does anybody know a good way to take the scratches out of my windshield?

Message: How about removing small chips, do those folks who drive to your house or job to 'fill' these, make them disapear, or just stop from spider-webbing?
Thanks

Message: A word of advise..... crack it and call your insurance company. Most glass policies carry "0" deductibles.

Message: Hmmmmm I wonder???? Could there be a problem
with the glass that DC was using in some of these
trucks.I myself have the same problem ,littel pits and scratches, fortunately my dealer had
a glass company come out and they rebuffed the
windshield. It cleared up most of them except for some of the deep ones.I have never seen this problem on any other vehicle.

Message: my door windows are thoroughly scratched from sand on my 97 Dakota....i believe its due to not having wheel flares, and grime gets thrown up the side of the truck and sits at the black rubber strip at the base of the window...open the window, and poof - nice perfectly straight vertical scratches....
anyhow, i got "pits" on my windshield too - but the truck is almost 5 years old....

Message: No, It's normal for many newer windshields! The glass used today is a much softer type made for safety reasons. Doesn't most states use more sand on the roads to make up for less salt used too?
