Subject: Fuel Filter IP: Logged
Message: I went to go get a fuel filter for my 98 5.2 and the autozone guy said it wasn't avialable because it was internal or some dumb s#it like that, I know this sounds pretty dumb but I'm 17 and still learning so bare with me. So any help with replaceing the fuel filter would be appreciated.

Message: He was right, the filter is in the tank along with the pump. When the filter's dirty enough, you'll know because the pump will burn out then you get to change the whole unit!!!!! The dealer is probably the only place to find the filter and it will be a
b!tch to change. (You'll have to drop the tank) I wouldn't mess with it until you have like 75K miles.

Message: There must be an after market fuel filter available that fits somewhere on the fuel line after it leaves the tank.
