I think the gen 2s were 5 bolt and the gen 3 are six bolt.

I think all Daks switched to 6 bolt as of '92 when magnums becsame the norm. Better check it out though. I have a set of '00 15x7 alloy's with 235/65-15's that i'll sell you for $500. The tires are 50,000 mile BFG's SR rated with under 5,000 miles on them. That is unless I have to ship them to some far off place.

I have the genIII wheels on my 92. just had to grind on the bolt that holds the brake line on the caliper.

I have seen 15X8 Factory rims from gen3 on gen2's and I also saw a 93 4x4 with the 17x9 R/T rims on. With the 4x4 the wheels were sticking out of the front fenders a lot farther than the rears. I have no idea how much work went on behind the wheel as I couldn't meet up with the owner.

both the genII and the genIII's have the same bolt pattern. It's the gen I's that have the five bolt (a much more common overall pattern I wish they would have stuck with.) I have 92 15x6.5 wheels right now on my 2000 for snow tires and I agree they look more set in the wheel wells then the stock wheels do, but then again the stock wheels are 17x9's, a full 2.5 inches wider.

hey guys if it means anything, I have a 88 dakota 4x4 sport that I put 99 jeep cherokee canyon rims on. there 5 lug 4 1/2 inch bolt and 15x8 with no sitcking out of the wells and if anyone is looking I also have a set of 4 jeep grizzly rims same size 15x8 5 lug 4 1/2 bolt pattern,325 for the set plus shipping[ exact] mint cond. I didn't like that look, went to the canyon's and by the way the 92's are when they went 6 lug

does any know if i can run 15X8 on my 2001 dakota, but stocks are 16X8. Does anyone run 15X8 on their 2000 or up dakotas. i because im going top buy some mt challengers. let me know if possible

It will work you just have to go up on tire height with the 15s. I just put 17" x 9"
R/T rims on my 2000 QC 4.7 and took off the
15" x 8" rims, I'll sell the 15"x8" rims with the goodyear tires on them for $450.00.

The 15's I took off had goodyear LS 255-65 R15 tires.
And I put Goodyear RS-A 255-55-R17 tires on my R/T rims.
