Message: You will not be able to find ones like the bulbs that come on the luxury autos. They have what is called HID systems. This is a complete lighting system, not just a couple of bulbs. A very expensive upgrade. Not available for Dakotas or almost any other vehichle under 30-35k(yet). Try Ebay for Xenon gas filled bulbs. That is where I got mine and they look great and function well.

Message: Actually for the 9007 bulbs there is an aftermarket kit for HID. It usually runs about $900. It will perform very very well and produce the light everyone tries to achieve with those immitation bulbs. Stay with the factory bulbs the new xenon, blue, intense bullsh*t bubs just put out a gray light that doesnt work as well. If you really want to put brighter lights in buy some PIAA's they work very well.

Message: PIAA make a bulb called the Super White, they cost about $80 a pair at retail, but they are by far the best bulbs you can get without going to the super expensive HID systems. In the 9007 size you can get a moderate wattage buld (65/65 I think) that they claim to perform like a 110 watt bulb without the power draw or heat, I'm not sure if they're really THAT good, but they are pretty good. The big problem is that the lenses on our trucks are really lame, unless someone comes up with a superior replacement lens there is only so much we can do.

Message: Save your money - just get a pair of NAPA Brite
Lites or Sylvania ExtraVision; these are
Xenon/Halogen, which give you more hi-beam
light and a little more lo-beam light.
