Subject: Over-Effective Fan IP: Logged
Message: I have a '92 Dak v6 and just recently replaced the fan clutch. Before the change for the 2 years I owned the truck I never heard the fan. Now just after it is started it is so loud I feel like a 747 is under the hood. I don't mind it too much it shuts off in like 2 minuted after the truck is driven or when it hits 3rd gear whichever comes first. But in this cold weather this almost totally negates trying to start the truck and letting it "warm up" the fan more than doubles the warm-up time from last winter. Any info whether this is common or how to deal with it.

Message: A electric fan convertion works nicely. It has a nice HP and milage boost as well. But it is normal for them to roar at first start up.
