Subject: '95 Dakota rearend ratio IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a '95 Dakota Sport (2.5L/5-speed, standard cab), and I can't figure out what size gears it has in the rearend. A friend and I took a 165-mile drive yesterday, and I noticed somewhat limited acceleration in fourth, while we made that trip on less than half a tank. Those two things lead me to believe it's a 3.55:1. Does anyone know of a label or something similar that Chrysler would have put on the truck that would show me this information? Thanks.

Message: You might have the 3.21 rear end since it is a 4 cylinder. Look in the glove box there should be a sticker that has the info that you need.

Message: In the GenII's I notice the spec's sticker is under the hood or in the door jam.
