Hello-
I am new to this board, but I am currious if there is a way to change the color of the factory gauges. What I am trying to say, is that right now they are green at night, I would like to change them to white or red. I have a 99' 4x4 Dak that I love. Do you know if it is just a couple of bulbs back there that can be changed??

Im pretty sure that its not just a bulb but someone will correct me if I am wrong. The bulbs are regular but the paper on the gauge face is green so thats why the color cant be changed that easy. Gotta get new faces. Anyone care to correct me on this?

Thanks, I was hoping it would be easier than that. Unfortunatley I don't want white gauges, just don't like the green.

Since you got me thinking about this so much and I aint got nothing to do. I decided to try and see if I could change the color. So thanks for inspiring my new project, after closer examination and a little imagination i might be able to do it.

I hope it works out. I will be glued to this post to see how it turns out. I hate the puke greek that come stock. I want it blue to match my trucks details and I like the black background. So there goes the indiglo during the day.

SUCCESS!!!! I got my gauges lookin really good in my opionion. Changed all the lights to blue, so all my gauges and all my controls are now blue. I think it looks great and will try and find some way to get some pics up. All I did was change the bulb colors. Im not sure if any color would work though. Ill get back to you guys with some more info. The only thing thats not different is the needle color on the gauges.
