Message: For those with the 5900 lbs payload option, what do you think of the ride quality with an empty bed or without a trailer? I know its rough but is it livable?

Message: Nice rig :)
How do you like the multi-speed trans? I'm thinking of going auto for traffic resons. Been driving a stick since 95 in Seattle, the #2 worst traffic in the USA. #1 goes to LA, CA in case you wondered :)

Message: Thanks for the complement,
yea I hear ya I live in Detroit MI and have also been driving a stick since 98, I can't even imagine the sh!t you put up with.
Well the trans isn't all that bad, It may just be my setup but the 1-2 shift is pretty snappy, at least until it's warmed up. I think you may be able to take it to the dealer and have them program it from a 4 spd to a 5 spd like the jeeps. Have ya decided what gears your going with (3.55's or 3.92's) My 3.92's with the factory tires, are pretty damn torquey, gas mileage sux though, but then again I didn't buy a geo.

Your trans, the 45RFE is the multi-speed auto. When you talked about programming it, do you mean its not using the extra gear in stock form? How do you know?

Message: God I love that intense blue color, nice truck, I wanted that color but they ditched it from their color scheme for 2002. Regarding the trans, the Cherokee has the same exact tranny, it's just programmed differently. I'm not to familiar with these new trannys, I graduated from an automotive college and we really didn't get into the trannys that are out today, but I understand the older 350 400 727 trannys, check out this link, and you'll get an idea.
