Message: Has anyone else out there had to have their Transfer case rear output seal replaced more than once?
I'm on my second seal and I just happened to look under the truck this afternoon and it's *(%&$*% leaking again.
I'm seriously thinking of invoking WA state lemon law!

Message: Is it the NP231 t-case? If so, go to yahoo and type in np231 transfer case and about halfway down there is a tech page. It says something about there being a bushing that wears in there and gives a false impression of the leak. Its all in the tail shaft cone.

Message: Thanks for the quick response Andrew.
What model T-case is in a 2001 CC 45RFE Multi-Speed Auto w/PT Shift-on-the-Fly 4x4?

Message: Oooh, good question. I am not sure about what t-case comes in yours but mine has a round tag near the drain plug that says what model it is. The guy who wrote the tech page said he put in a couple different seal before he realized it was the worn bushing. Good Luck.

Message: Guess it's back to the dealer and have them specifically check the worm bushing. If that does not fix the leak then I will have to push to have the whole T-case replaced under warranty.
