That the second time you guys have had a meet right when I will be traveling, going to Brazil for vacation. Just my luck. I will just have to wait for the next one. How (besides this website) do you find out this info on meets in S CAL. Thanks

i found out about it at a car/truck show.
there is a meeting every 3rd saturday of the month.
the next one is feb 16th

I'm goin'! It's been months since the last time (when my truck looked stock). I wonder what it'd take to get a bunch of us there?
I need to take new pics of my Dak to update my profile, and I'll shoot everyone elses Dak, too.
Maybe there's someplace cool nearby (better background than a parking lot) to show off our collective addictions.
I'll hit this thread every couple of days to keep it current, and hopefully we can assemble a great group of enthusiasts.
Also ERIC.... please post (or e-mail me) some info on any other meets/shows. Now that I have more wheel and less ground clearance, I'll feel more like my truck is ready to squat along side yours :->

Oh WAIT, I know.... it's that stuff they spit out of those machines up on the mountain here.
Kidding, of course.... I haven't a clue what it must be like to deal with a winter the way y'all do. Ever been to SoCal? I'm a mile or two from Disneyland.... kinda boring to me (I've probably been 30 times).
Eric, I lowered it (myself) a couple of weeks ago. After M.I.C. and another shop fully d!cked me around, I got tired of it and borrowed a spring compressor and a "pickle fork". The rear leaf springs were actually HARDER to do than the coils. D/C uses "F'n" TORX head on the leaf bolts (why.....?). It took me more than all day to pull it off, but the results are worth ALL the cussing and sniveling, and I kept some $$$ in me pocket.

Never been to California... but never say never huh! It is snowing beautiful fluffy big flakes here today. Nice.
We have a Moparfest here in August, can't wait. Hopefully some of the other Ontario Dak folks from this board can make it.

It'd be fantastic to see/meet some new Dak enthusiasts around here!
If you go... pull in the parking lot, and cruise all the way to the left.... away from the masses. Look for the Daks. I hope that we can assemble a bigger group than has been there lately. There's gotta be more Dak-heads around here!

I would like to attend but how many Dak owners usually show up? Cuz it is about 2 hours from my house and if there are a lot of Dakota's I would be interested in going but if only 4 or 5 Not sure if I would want to do the drive.

i have been when about 15 people are there, and i have been when it was just broeheem and myself. its kinda hard to tell untell you get there. there seem to be more interested now then before.

Von Dutch, I live in Oxnard, but work up at Totally Polished in Agoura Hills. If I'm not to busy that weekend maybe we can meet up and caravan down. Also, maybe Jack with BlackDakRT.com will come along, he is in Simi too. Email me a couple days before the event. I won't know if I can go until then. The way I drive it should only take us 1 hour 15 minutes or so with no traffic.

It's a pretty cool place to meet. There's a "Malibu-Gran-Prix", a top-fuel-type drag (you drive), a HUGE racing-related arcade, lots of RC stuff, and even BEER.

There's been a lot less interest than I hoped that there would be, and I'm beginning to wonder if I should bother driving out.
I know there's lots of Daks around here (I saw a WILD flamed one in Corona yesterday by Magnolia/I-15).
If any one besides me and Kota on 20's wants to go, please post by tonight so I can call Eric (his computer's inoperable).

I wish you guys were going on the 26th. I used to live down there. Six months ago I moved up to the bay area. Im going down there next friday the 25th to lower my truck. Is the speedway open every weekend?
