Dying and trying to get some better mileage on 2000 QC 4x4 4.7. My Muffler guy says aftermarket exhaust (dynomax) will get me marginally better mileage. Whadda think?

Your exhaust guy is right. You will also see an improvement if you upgrade your intake. Do the intake first or you will see a loss of power from just the exhaust. Anything that improves how air moves through the engine will make it more efficient. That is unless the newfound power makes you slam the pedal to the floor just to hear the engine roar. You've got lots of options for both...look under the links section

I agree, I'm sure that I would be getting better mileage due to the mods I've got... but it remains the same mostly because I can't help stepping on it to bring a smile & a chuckle!
