Subject: Steering Wheel Radio Controls IP: Logged
Message: Hi,
I have an '02 QC that has the infinity stereo with all of the bells and whistles but MINUS the steering wheel controls.
Does anyone have info on whether or not I could buy the Steering wheel switches and install them and have what I am looking for. The switches arent that bad in price from my Dodge Dealer.
thanks in advance

Message: I have the steering wheel controls in my 99RT and also have built several late model vehicles from totals. You would have to also buy a new clockspring for the airbag system and should have that installed at the dealer. The wiring below that i'm not sure if it would be there or not.Even it is this would be very expensive modification. But thats just my thoughts on the matter. Thanks Chico

Message: True -- the wiring is certainly going to be a major issue. I have the steering wheel controls on the Durango, the Dakota does not have. They are two completely different wheels -- I am sure you can get one from a totalled truck, but the wiring is gonna be a tough one to figure out (I think). Just my humble opinion. - Jim
