I have an ARE Z-series on a 02 CC. Looks pretty sharp, solid glass back lid w/ 1 heavy duty lock latch. When you close it it shuts securely with both latches engaging every time. People have complimented me on this cap style. Been in heavy rain no leaks. The two side windows on the cap are frameless and screw out on hinges the same way the CC back windows pop out. I got a black Dak so I got the charcoal colored carpeting on the inside of the cap. Previously had an '86 Chevy SB with an ARE cap on it 12 years with no problems.

I purchased an ARE CX Topper for my 2001 Quad Cab.
I am very happy with it.
The options I purchased on the topper were:
- Mitered Radius 1/4 Slider windows
- Single front sliding window
- Nomadic Sport Rack
- 12-Volt interior light
On the truck, I purchased the rear sliding window.
This has been helpful for carrying 8 foot 2x4's, etc in the truck. I open both sliders, and can slide the wood through the window.
I then tapped into the 12-volt light power, and installed a waterproof 12-volt power outlet in the left back of the truck. This is helpful to small 12-volt air compressors, and other 12-volt utility items.

Other positive comments about ARE. They use top quality "factory matched" Dupont paint with clear coat. You might also check out the "heavy-duty" hardware and hinges they use. It's been said many times before - "You get what you pay for!"

I've got a Z series cap on my 2000. I'm very pleased with it. I've had one problem where I bent one of the arms for the crank open side windows. I didn't notice it was hanging up until it was too late. I'm still not sure why it hung up. Just don't break the back window/gate costs $450 to replace! ouch...... Don't ask

I have an ARE CH model cap on my 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab truck. Front slider window, matching paint, clamp installation, rubber weather stripping between cap and bed.
No leaks or problems with it. Color match is really close.

I have an LSII and love it. Put it on my first QC
and hade it sent back to ARE for repainting for
my second CQ. Great paint job, hardware, etc.

I just had a A.R.E. LSII series tonneau put on my 01 QC. It is the bright white and the paint match is very good. I found the quality of the A.R.E. cap to be very good. Price installed with internet coupon 742.00.

i have a raven raised with metal frame glass rear pop up and its been great!paint matches to a tee but of course its not to hard to match black.ill e mail you a pic if you want.
my cap was $1,000 with the 6 clamps just so you know the previous owner gave me the reciept.
