I've done alot of searching on this board, and I have not come across anyone asking this question.

What I plan on doing is purchasing an airhat from a 1997+ Dak 5.2L and putting it on my 1995 Dak 5.2L. That way I can install a tube type cold air intake (ie. Air Raid, z-tube).

Here is a link that someone asked about swapping the airhat off a 1997+ Dak into a 1995 Dak :

http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/per/41.html

So I know the airhat will fit on my 1995 Dak.

Question is, instead purchasing the airhat (new or used), what about installing the KN FIPK Gen II intake ? If the airhat off a 1997+ Dak fits onto a 1995 Dak, and since the Gen II Intake includes the airhat, tube, and the cone filter, wouldn't it stand to reason that the Gen II intake would also fit into a 1995 Dak (possibility of some modifications to the FIPK) ?

I've looked at pics of other people's rides, and it appears to me that the TB from a 1997 Dak has not changed much from a 1995 Dak.

Thanks for the tip rez !

During my search, I was only able to find one picture of a 1995 Dak CC where the owner got rid of the stock airhat and put in a 1997+ airhat and customized a supercharger onto it.

I also like the total cost of your setup; the KN setup costs betweeen 450-500 bucks (ouch !!).
