Message: What about for Diesals? I've read in Diesal power that these crasy HP and TQ people love to shoot loads of water methane as posible. Is that the purpose to cool the air in the intake??
@Boomer
Didn't burn Diesal in the KC135? Seem like they did with the BUFF (B52)

Message: There are plenty of cars that use water injection to prevent detonation under high boost applications. On a stock car with stock timing its just stupid. You may be able to edge a bit more power on N/A apps if you increased timing and or compression but there is no way to tell unless you try.
By the way Engineers dont impress me much. Just a bunch of rich kids who think they know everything in the world because they went to school for 4 years.

Message: I don't know anything about aquatune itslef, but the concept and systems have been around since the 30's. It will not rust your engine, it is used commercialy world wide, and every 700HP+ Turbo charged car we have built has a water injection system on it. On the MR2 Turbo its the only way you can prevent premature detonation and increases power on highly modified SW20 engines. We also use injection systems on our 700-1400HP Toyota Supra and Nissan/Skyline motors. Injection systems are very common, but if your wary just inject nitrous instead. Most people do not realize that nitrous has been around longer and used longer then them all and is better. It does not add weight or heat to your car like turbo's and superchargers, does not care how hot or cold it is out side like forced induction systems do, barametric pressure, altitude, nitrous does not care. Also installed correctly and used RESPONSIBLY it will extend the life of your engine by keeping it carbon free. 4 cyl stock motors never more than a 75HP set up, 6 cyl stock never more than 100hp set up, 8 cyl stock never more than 175HP kit depending on you factory pistons (Forged?) not forged go 150HP MAX. I run a 150HP kit on my 07' 300C giving me roughly 500 crank HP. On my 06 Mustang I have a 175 HP kit on a stock motor with intake and exhaust that dyno's at 419 HP at the wheels. On my MR2 Turbo I have a 50 HP Intercooler Sprayer kit that gives me 100 at the engine, that right 50 gets you 100 when you superchill the incoming air on a forced induction engine. I get Turbo's for free, after spend crazy stupid money on building motors, I finally listened to an Oldtimer that told me "I have the stock reliability of my factory engine, then you pull up next to me with your Cams, Crank, Pistons, Turbo's whatever, that make your car less reliable, weigh more, run hotter and get worse gas mileage, so I reach down and flip my switch to Armed and go from stock reliability to 200HP extra in 3 seconds and whoop your butt light to light" I used to laugh, but now realize he was right, its like pulling over and adding cams, pistons, and every bolt on you can throw at a motor with the flip of a switch, and all the reliabilty of my stock engine for daily driving and if you are smart about your installation you will use a custom intake, save the original just incase you get stupid and want to see what its like with the next size bigger needle and blow your engine,you just put you factory intake back on, hide your tracks and let the manufacturer rebuild your engine for you. I know of a guy in Florida that raced a Mustang that was stock for 3 years with a sneaky system installed, he ran a dual stage 150HP and 250HP, he would hit the first stage for cars he only needed 100 or so HP to beat, and the second if anyone pulled on him after that, blew two motors that the factory rebuilt for free, but made enough money to pay for his next ride, a completely stock Cobra R, and what do you think he is running in that? The same set up.

Message: That was a nice post, read it all word for word.
Seemed pretty plausible, if you work at a speed shop I guess.
I've never ran nitrous, and unfortunately, my Dak 4.7 manual is still N A., but I agree with what you said.
The only problem I think I may not like, is that you only have that 'burst' for a short time, not all the time. But that might be enough?
And, if I put a 150 shot on my 4.7, are you saying no mods to the injectors of fuel system?
You can e-mail me if you like.
