Message: What do you all reccomend when rotating tires?
I'm talking how often and do you go front to back, or criss-cross?
I just rotated mine today at 3,300 miles (front to back).
P.S. if you take it to the dealer to get it rotated then don't even answer the whole "criss-cross" thing -- they go front to back 100% of the time unless you specifically TELL THEM they have to criss cross and tell them you're watching them do it.

Message: I have always rotated tires every 6000 miles. Front to back. This has gotten me over 70,000 miles on each set of tires on my '88 Jeep Cherokee. If you have it done at a tire shop, insist on watching them use a torque wrench set to the correct value. Bring your own torque wrench if you have to. Don't let them use an impact wrench to install your lugnuts. Not even if they say they use a torque-set tool on it. If all else fails, loosen them at home and torque them yourself. You will be glad you did when you change your next flat tire out in the middle of nowhere.

Message: This is one of those subjects like which motor oil is best. The important thing is to rotate the tires periodically. This will yield the longest tire life.
