Message: Hey all.....
I just purchased a few days ago a silver 2001 Dakota Sport 4x4 (4.7, Multi speed auto, 3.55 locking, power gizmos, air, cruise, cd/Infinity speakers, tow package, blah, blah, blah). I traded in a 2000 Sahara (great vehicle...I just needed a truck) and I couldn't be happier. The only problem is that I am missing the driver's rear fender flair...oversight from the factory that wasn't caught....no big deal it should get fixed early this week. I got it for $500 under invoice...not too bad....I wasn't being cheap, I just had a payment figure in mind and was not bending much (it's not like the Sahara was a piece of junk). I am very impressed with the power and smoothness...what a great truck. It should tow my 67 Cougar GT (much faster than the truck....sorry) with no problem and I'll be in comfort taking my car across country for a change.
This seems like a good forum and I just thought that I would introduce myself.

Message: Brian,
I am also new to the forum. I picked up my 2001 Dakota CC SLD 4X4 last Saturday. Is has the 4.7 with auto. I installed a tonneau cover and nerf bars. I get real enjoyment reading the posts from the other forum members. A couple seem to be real characters and have a great insight on how to personalize a Dakota.
If I can be of any help or provide information please feel free to send me an E-Mail

Message: Hey, I am new also. I just dumped my 99 Silverado that was a lemon.
I have a 4x4 Quad Cab, 4.7 L, auto. I have placed chrome step sides on it and a pendaliner and tool box. It is a real work truck so the last two are givens. I also have strobe's on it to keep people from running me over.
Nice to meet you guys. I officially picked my truck up Friday, 2/23/01. So far, this thing makes my chevy seem like a elcamino.
I love this truck.

Message: Wait to you hear what i got rid of to get my Cody. I had a 99 2500 Dodge Ram 4x4 quad cab long bed Diesel. BIG DIFFERANCE!!! When i bought the truck diesel was cheap, well no more. I also needed a cheaper payment. I now have a 01 QC Cody 4x4 loaded with tow package. I like the performance of the Cody, but ill miss that 460lbs of torque at 1300 RPM.

Message: How's it going
I also just got a 01' Dakota a few months ago. Black, 4x4 SLT, 4.7. It's an awesome truck, i've got Airraid intake and Borla exhaust so far, it sounds great!!I'm looking to get headers, I know Borla has them but does anyone else know if JBA has headers for this truck? Also, when are the lifts coming out? This truck lifted will dominate

Message: Hey Collin- is your borla exhaust much louder than stock? I was thinking of buying one if its not too loud.
