Subject: Warranty on a rebuild
IP: Logged

Message:
Well, after seeing all the posts about ball joints, front end squeaks, control arms, etc, I'm getting a little concerned. My truck makes the soft "clunk" noise and vibration at low speeds that the used car dealer I bought the truck from says is a coupling in the lower steering column. The truck I bought from him was a rebuild, I saw the pictures and repair orders and drove it before I bought the truck. Still waiting for the dealer to replace the coupling. Now I think I know why I'm waiting. Dodge won't honor any warranty because this truck was a rebuild. The damage was mostly cosmetic, left front corner, nothing structural. I think from a warranty standpoint I'm on my own. Any comments?
