Was on the way home tonight and this GenI long bed dakota with V6 and 4x4 came up next to me and the two guys in it were looking pretty hard. I looked over at them and they both gave me the thumbs up. Then, I was pulling out of the bank and made the mistake of pulling in front of this GenII dakota I think was 2wd but it had no badging and had a ladder rack on it. He got over and nailed it so I did the same. At the next light, I thought he wanted to race since he was flying so I tried him and if he was even trying, he got smoked. At the next light, it was obvious he wanted to race. I nailed him off the line and pulled away. I looked in my side view and he was falling back and I thought he was quiting so I let off and then he would start catching up again. I got up next to me and downshifted and caught up even and then started to fall back(or i was pulling on him) We both quit when we got up to about 60 or so. And yes, i am sure he was racing because I sure was and he was pretty close. I am pretty sure he had the 3.9 but I just aint sure. Forgot to tell you, I have a 93 4x4 with 5.2 and auto. Do you think he had a V6 or V8?

Not to sound rude or anything, but Its pretty east to tell a 4x4 from a4x2. That being said, If it was a 4x2 then I'm pretty sure it was a 3.9 cause if it was a V-8 2wd you woulda got beat simply cause the 2wd is lighter.
maybe he was just trying to catch up to you because he thought you were cute or something? ;-}
or maybe, he wasnt racing at all. some people's driving style make it seem like there racing.

That was pretty funny(not really, but I dont know how to express sarcasm on the computer). He was definantly racing and I know it was a 4x2 CC. If I keep telling myself it was a V8 maybe it will come true:)
