Message: Joel use a good wax, like Mothers etc.And use a buffer[but don't get cared away with the buffer]my 89 Mustang headlights looked like what yours do and they cleared up very nicely with the wax and buffer.

Message: The headlights are plastic I believe. That will happen to plastic over time and the only thing to do would be to replace it.
If the were glass, that would not happen..

Message: They can be polished out. I have an 89 Mustang. The earlier body headlights are notorious for getting yellow and hazy. Basically any mild abrasive will work. A lot of Stang people have used a variety of products. Fine cut rubbing compound, any of the wheel metal polishes (Mothers etc), super fine wet/dry sandpaper. It does not take a lot of elbow grease. The difference is amazing. Then hit them with a coat of wax.

Message: Any good polishing compound brings them back; but they will yellow again with time. It's UV radiation. Easier to polish them a few times a year than replace them, much cheaper.
