I'm in agreement with HSKR....

Start with written reports/estimates of current damage with other certified body shops. If the frame has visual abnormalities (wrinkles, bends, etc.), take pictures - put a straight-edge up to the damaged areas to demonstrate.

Yes, the bed-alignment issue is more common than I think it should be (my own bed - or axle - is off about 1/4"), but nothing should be rubbing on the tires. Dakotas have huge wheel wells, so it's inconceivable that rubbing is even a possibility.

As for the dealer's statement that your frame is bent from the accident.... wouldn't that mean that THE FRAME NEEDS REPAIR? Regardless of whether it was bent due to the accident or any subsequent repair efforts, IT'S STILL BENT, and it will require REPAIR.

Don't let them BS you, an independent dealer IS STILL A REPRESENTATIVE OF CHRYSLER.

At this point, I would:

a) Get one or two independent estimates.
b) Take as many photos as you can.
c) Bring these back to *ICK POE DODGE, and let
them know that you are committed to acheiving
satisfaction. Let them know that you are
prepared to file claims with the Better
Business Bureau and the Bureau of Automotive
Repair.

Please post again after you've taken these steps.
