Hey everyone, for the last few months I have been try to find out what the name of the font Dodge uses on their vehicles. I am currently in the process of getting a 1998 Dodge Dakota Club Cab SLT and I wanted to know any font names so I can produce decals for my Dodge vehicles. Thanks for your time.

I doubt it's a font. It looks like it was drafted specifically for them. Are you going to vinyl cut? You could reproduce the logo (download from dodge site or scan), clean it up in photoshop and output it from there... Good luck.

Lesley's right - It is a font specific to Dodge. However, I've seen it available for download on the web somewhere. I just can't remember where.

I work in graphics, used to work in silk-screening. If you can't get a hold of the font, what I would do is this: obtain the cleanest copy of the logo you want, whether a poster, downloaded, or a scan. Clean it up as best you can in photoshop so that it is camera ready perfect. Burn to disk for one of those vinyl car sign places, they have plotters equipped with swivel blades that will cut that out for you. (They may not as it would be copyrighted)

There is an older style Dodge font out there too, called HEMIHEAD. think of the letters that said PLYMOUTH on the side of Richard Petty's superbird.
