Subject: wiring a brake control IP: Logged
Message: Anyone out there can help me like to pick your brain! I have a 2002 dak. 2x2 4.7 auto WITHOUT Factory tow package. I have installed the brake controller, ran the power, ground and the brake (blue) wires to where they go. My question is I have to tap into the NONE power side of the brake switch (under the dash) and I don't know which wire is it? there are 6 wires coming out of the brake switch. Which wire is it? What color code is it? I know if I tap into the wrong wire I mess up my ABS brakes!!
Anyone????????
Thanks Curtis in AZ

Message: Even though you don't have the factory tow package, you should have the plug under the dash to directly plug in a brake controller without any wiring hassles. It should be above the clutch pedal(if so equipped or in that area) with a baby blue plug with I think 4 wires going into it. It will have a termination plug in it that you just remove and plug in your controller, takes about 5 minutes max

Message: I wouldn't worry about towing with your truck. You have bigger problems such as the fact that your truck only has two wheels! How does it stay balanced?
