Subject: Do I need new Brakes? IP: Logged
Message: I'm not sure if I even need new Brakes or not but when I brake hard even slightly it shudders a bit. And as i'm rolling to a stop with brakes applied the truck kinda pumps forward. If my rotors are warped it'd probably be good to know. Any ideas?

Message: Sounds like your rotors are warped. You can take them off and have them machined or buy the powerslot rotors. I hear they are pretty good.

Message: Damn, I guess my rotors are warped also. I only have 15,000 miles on my truck too!!! What's the deal, are the stock rotors from Dodge just crap or what. Will Dodge machine them under warranty? Brakes should not do this within the first year. How much do powerslot rotors cost? Thanks.

Message: Group Buy for a pair of PowerSlots should run you about $170 to $180.
However non Group Buy for PowerSlot rotors could easily run you over $260 (Retail price is $130 each, but Group buy price is $79 each plus shipping)

Message: Yes, the rotors are warped. I made my dealer replace them FOUR times already with 22K on the rig.
Problem is yes, they are JUNK. Third world garbage from Mexico.
I have researched and discovered that Raybestos ro Bendix seem to work fine.
I have also found out that there are the 35 dollar units made in China which are problably just as bad as the ones from Mexico.

Message: I think I may go with the machining route. A friend of mine can do it for pretty cheap. And a good job too. If he screws up the rotors are shot anyhow so I can always just get a new set.
