Man my old stomping grounds. I grew up just north of there in New Caney. I live in VA now but still know a lot of people from there. Hey if a lot of Daks show up tell them about the Dakota Usa national Meet.

This will be the last reminder:
Several Dakota owners will be meeting at the Academy parking lot in Humble, TX (1960 west of 59) at 5:00 - 6:00. There will also be other Hot Rods there, various makes and models.
Come out if you can, it should be fun.

Well it looks like another rainy weekend forecast in the Houston/Humble area.
With the cr@ppy weather and the holidays comming, we probably should wait till 2002 to set up another rendevous.

I went but, it was raining so we ended up going out to Katy Mills to do some Christmas shoping. I didn,t see anybody else, but we only waited about 15 minuets. TOO MUCH RAIN !!!!!

Wow you had a heck of a drive from Huffman to Humble to Katy/Mills then back to Huffman. Of course, driving a Dakota (even in the rain) is a good time.
I live not too far from Katy/Mills.
Sorry you had a "dry run" on a rainy day. Were there any other "hot rods" there?
Let's try it again in early 2002.

No HotRods, but the parking lot was full of shoppers. Unfortunately it is a long drive to go almost anywhere from Huffman, but I like it nice and quiet.

We've got to do this soon. I think it would be fun to meet at the Houston Raceway on one of the amatuer (sp?) Friday nights.
R/Truck needs to race and show off his hotrod (and girlfriend!!).
360R/T has recently posted his interest in getting together.
I can't remember the guy's handle that is interested in started a Houston area chapter for the Dakotas Club. But I will find him and tell him about the plan.
KLC from Pasadena might come.
There are several other Houston area guys that probably would like to attend.
My problem is that I am so busy. The first half of June is out for me. Then you have the 4th of July weekend, so that's out. How does July 12th sound?
Do you know if that date is an amateur Friday night at Houston Raceway??
I am a lousy organizer, but R/Truck is good at it and it sounds like you R2. Yall make a plan and I'll do my best to help out with the details and be there.

July 12th is Street night at Baytown so it would be perfect, I can make it that night so I'll be there. Can you contact R/Truck and tell him if he doesn't see it on the board. It looks like it might be just the three of us, but it will still be fun.

How in the world did you guys find this old post?
I know for sure that there are 2-3 other R/Ts out there almost every Friday. So when we get closer to that date we should post a new message. I think it would be fun to watch each other screw it up on the track.
