Please help ASAP.
I have a 1990 Dak 3.9 L, 2wd, 2in susp, 3in Body lift. 31in tires.
Alright, bought Edlebrock headers from a guy. Took them off his Gen I 2wd 3.9L. (He put in a 318) Started on the right side. Installed header, all in OK.
Left side. Different story.
Got OEM crap out totally. Started to install header and saw I have a slight clearing problem between the very outside of the header and the steering shaft. There is a oxy sensor holder right there and that is alot of the problem. But I dont have an oxy sensor there, mine is on the y- pipe. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Joe E.

If you can't get an answer here, try the dakota board on moparchat.com. There's a guy on there called dodgeboy93, he is really good with gen II V6s.

Why not just get a pipe plug and plug it up. Leave the O2 sensor in the y-pipe.

I thought about that too. But the nut welded to the header is the problem. It sticks out about .25 in off the pipe and that is my clearence problem, I hope. I got a buddy that owns a weld shop. He is taking it tomarrow to troch the whole nut off. Maybe that will free up enough space to get the header on. Talk to yall later. Thanks for the help.
