Wish I was. My dak was encapsulated in ice the other morning, took me 20 min. to get it scraped off.

Thats cool ( not here though, LOL ) I didn't know there was any one else in florida on this site. Yep just today I was outside washing the dak, shorts on sweating to death, is it really december? Ice that's those things you put in soda to make it cold right? Just kidding I'm born and raised in NY out on Long Island, I've had my share of snow and ice, makes good 4 wheeling it's always fun going mudding in a nice white pure snow covered area not knowing what's underneath and leaving it all torn up and muddy!!! But those were in the nissan days (aka my name)

I think the elevation down here (10-15ft.) makes my Dak haul a bit more a$$ but I doubt the humidty helps. Someone needs to come up with a dehumidifier intake. I'd hop on that wagon.

Hardbody, you're not rubbing it in or anything are you? I haven't worn shorts in months. I'm glad we have no snow yet, but my furnace is blasting away and it's probably time to pick up some sandbags for the dak. I guess the bright side is.... WE'RE done with the bugs for the next few months.

No not rubbing it in, we actually miss the snow and the cold once in a while, I never minded the snow. As for bugs down here they've been pretty lite lately but I'm sure they'll be back soon. I was thinking about picking up that 1/2 bra that dodge sells that covers just the grille and front of the hood. Some mornings when I go to leave for work it's a little chilly out 55-60( I know some people wish they had those temps in december) but I still where shorts to work cause no matter how cold it is in the morning we all know by 8-9 AM we'll be sweating to death outside. Lesley, Tiger mosquitoes are you normal mosquitoes on steroids. Bout the size of a quarter or so. Will bite through a t-shirt or even denim. Usually like to swarm. Hurt and itch like heck. Black with white stripes on their legs, hence the tiger designation.

Yeah but don't forget the deer flys and noseeum's. They can be just as bad. I work down the the everglades twice a month about 2 to 4 days a week. You want mosquitos...go hang out in a mangrove swamp in the everglades in August. Even in a full bug suit and covered in deet they have us whining like little girls. It's a humbling experience

i live in florida. orlando area, on dean road off of university blvd. where are you located? we should meet up. alot of my friends and I as well as a bunch of muscle car and import owners meet on saturdays nights at the sports authority parking lot on highway 50. there are some bagged and body dropped trucks also.

hardbody, i used to live in mount dora. the sports authority on 50 is on the intersection of semoran blvd, and 50 its on the way to the fashion square mall. since its kinda far away i wouldnt go, cause it is questionable how long we usually stay. starts around 10:30 and has gone to 1am, although last night the police chopper circled the parking lot and radioed some piggy cruisers and as usual they were d!cks and made us leave. talk to you later

Its good to see other SW Florida people here. I thought I was the only one. I dont know about your trucks guys. What do yall have on em? I have a 1990 Dak. 2wd, 3.9L, 5ins of lift, 31x10.50's. I also have new edlebrock headers, custom K&N cold air intake, CAT is gone, and a flowmaster dual exhaust, Jacobs Ing Coil. Looking for new wires and s. plugs.
Truck runs strong but college finals are my top priority as of the moment.

2000 4.7L SLT 4x2 CC LS 5spd here. Its awesome as it is. Most of my upgrades are going to be suspension mods to begin with. I'm hopefully buying a set of mopar 16x8 rims to replace my 15x7's. If that deal falls through though i'm gonna get the active suspension kit. I've heard nothing but good things about the kit. Also about to order an IAT. Speedtweaks is running a Christmas special on them. Later comes the sway bars

Im in Sarasota as well. From Melbourne. 2001 QC 4x4 4.7 WHT/DFW loaded except leather. Poor thing. Ive had it 1 yr and only 8k on it. I drive a company car all week and the Cody on the weekends. It pulls my boat and thats it, 6k mi towing. mike
