Message: I've had a clunk in the front end of my 2000 CC 4x4 for several months now. I have had it to the dealer twice, and I took it to two independant shops. Nobody could find this noise. I have seen post about steering columns, ball joints, and control arms. The dealer always says everything is fine.
This morning, as I went over some rough railroad tracks on the way to work, the little clunk became a very loud "something is really broken" clunk. I pulled off the road and looked under the truck. The lower bolt in my front right shock had fallen out!!!!
Long story short, new bolt, some blue loc-tite, and no more clunk! Not a single noise from the suspension.
Now why couldn't the dealer find a loose shock bolt?
Just though I would post this experience in case anybody with this problem hasn't thought to check their shock bolts.

Message: Speaking of F'N dealers,Do not try to get help from chrysler either. My 99 kota has had a coolant leak for months. It's been to the dealer several times and I get the same bull every time(There nothing wrong with it )But every morning there's a puddle under it.Also dudes watch those ball joints, mine has had one set at 23000 miles and is working on another, but waranty does'nt cover alignment. So as far as i'm concerned dodge can go @#$% themselves,Back to toyota I go!

Message: Bill the aluminum and plastic rads on our trucks will leak in the morning when they are cold because where the aluminum rad attaches to the plastic tank is not tight enouph. In the morning the plastic shrinks more than the aluminum causing the leak but when you drive it to the dealer you warm it up and it seals it self again until it is cold. Get them to remove the rad and have the tank recrimped to the rad its self and no more leak. I have done this many times.
