Subject: Synthetic Blends IP: Logged
Message: Got an oil question. Can I change from regular oil to a synthetic or a synthetic blend or do I need to flush my system first? I am assuming a syn blend is better than regular oil. Any suggestions?

Message: No need to flush your system, just go ahead and switch. How many miles on your truck? If alot of miles you 'might' get some leaks since synthetics seem to find any place to leak. I'm using Valvoline DuraBlend and no complaints. Went with a blend since I like to change my oil around 2500 miles and didn't want the extra $$ cost of a straight synthetic.

Message: Just make sure you have at least 5,000 miles (on the truck) and if you do deside to go with a synthetic stay with it, you may have problems if you go back and forth from plain oil to synthetic
