My other "off-road weapon" is a 1300 lb. Belgian/Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse. We've had fun hurtling through woods and over fences fox-hunting for the last eight- nine years all over Ontario. Goes through mud or water no problem. Great suspension. Can jump a fence on a downhill slope at full throttle, land and do a 180 to jump a fallen tree.

Message: Good Call Lesley !
I hope the dirt bikes you encounter(if any) give you & your horse the proper respect.
Here in NH we teach others to stop and kill the engine to let the horse & rider pass-by when we have equine encounters in the woods. I'm sure not all the riders act this responsible, but you can bet every one that rides with me is !
I would never want to spook a rider's horse. It is a quick way to make a lifetime enemy.

Message: Offroadruse - yes, most people you encounter in the woods are pretty courteous, though not too much spooks my guy - his nickname is "Ahnuld" (Schwarzenegger).
Geez, Blizzard, are there any toys you DON'T have?
