Message: Has anyone tried that "Z-Max" product? it's suposed to be oil that "soaks" into the metal, for better cold starts the stuff seems pretty good and they give you a 150,000 drive train warranty with it if it fails, I'm sure there's fine print, like the truck has to be bran new type-a-thing.

Message: Tried it, and it doesn't even PRETEND to make a difference. As such, there has to be a loophole in the warranty as well. "Better cold starts" is also Slick50's shtick, and both companies are full of the brown semi-solids. Personally, I let my truck idle for at least half a minute on a cold day and drive off slow and easy until it's warmed a bit and the oil's circulating nicely therefore. I also let it idle for ten minutes in the morning - the latter results in a toasty interior when I'm done with breakfast!

Message: I keep it locked while it's warming up, relying on the keyless to get me back in, but I've often had moments of concern walking away from it. Talk about potential egg on my face when the insurance company asks how it was stolen! ;-)
