ok i was drivin home from school, and there was some snow out. so i put my truck in 4-wheel drive (its a stick shift). but anyway i was almost home. then the truck stop moving it was running fine but i'd go to shift and put it in 1st and nothin was Workin in 2 or 4wheel drive. (also the clutch is a belt drive) my question is what happend. was it the transmition or the clutch? or some thing else? how much would it coast to get fixed??

I think theres a tsb for that. I'm not sure I could swear I've read something on that happening. I have the 5spd 4x4 2000 slt, and have never had a problem with it in 4 wheel. I'l see if I can find it when I ge4t home from work.

hey well i took it to a transmition guy to get it looked at and it wasn't the tranny. manual transmitions don't hardly ever go bad. It was the clutch! but now i have anouther question. ok the guy said he would fix it. for $500.00. Is this a Good Deal he said he would fix it up good not like some places just repalce the plate. but anway is this a good deal?????

Does that include the cost of the clutch?Most places in my area would charge around 700 with clutch
