We have a 2004 Status, only 20,000 miles on it. Check enging light came on twice.Local mech can't get code information. The code is P0456. Dodge codes 456-459 are missing from the listings I find on the Web....Help!

Code P0456: Evap Leak Monitor Small Leak Detected (.020) Frequently caused by a loose or defective gas cap. Can also be caused by deteriorated or disconnected hose(s) in Evap System.

Check engine light........ big deal. Evap systems problems only. Place a piece of black electrician tape or a post-it note over it and forget it. Got a 98 Dak, 218000 miles, the light went on at 60k, no problems since, same mileage, just a ploy by Chrysler to drum up some business by the stealerships.
