Message: I have tried them in other vechiles with no problems. If you are after increased performance look elsewhere. If you are looking for extended maintence intervals then go for it!!!!!!!!!!

Message: I have a set of Bosch 4s in my 5.9L with about 8000 on them. I have been very satisfied with them. I have periodicaly removed some of them to check condition and they are clean as new.
I am getting an MDS 6a ignition and Platinum plugs are not recommended for use with it.
I would sell my Boschs cheap if anyone is interested.

Message: They do work, just not any better than a standard platinum, they do cost more. Tried them in my 97' didn't notice any difference from standard or the 3923 just lightened my wallet more as far as I could tell.

I have 'em on all my vehicles - they're great.

Message: Bernd,
Why "Don't bother with them" ???
3923s for 3.9, 5.2, 5.9 ?
Bosch +4s for 4.7L ?
They have worked great for me, 16K miles.

Message: The modern purpose for plugs that have platnium on the end of both electrodes is to extend service life. If the plugs has platnium on both electrdes then you can easily go 80,000-120,000 miles on the same plug. platnium plugs that have platnium on center electrode only are good for 50,000 miles easily. The only time platnium was realy toated as a performance soloution was back when they ran thin wire platnium plugs. As long as you have platnium on the outer electrode and the center electrode you can pretty much install them and forget about them. You might notice a slightly rougher idle but it will smooth out as rpms increase. Platniums have a much broader heat range then copper plugs.

Message: The performance of the +4's vs. the "tried and true" Autolite 3923's isn't worth the money. If you're looking for longevity, then get the platinums. If you're running (or planning on running) any form of MSD ignition...do NOT use Platinum plugs. (Even MSD, Jacobs, Accel, and Mallory will tell you this.)
BTW: I've got about 1000 miles on the Iridium plugs now...going back to the Autolite 3923's. (Same performance and much less expensive.)

Message: In preparation for installation of my MSD 6A, I just bought a set of eight 3923s for $9.52. That is a little more than the cost of 1 Bosch+4.

Message: The BOSCH +4 plugs are the plug of choice for the 4.7L V8 hemi engine.
The other appends above are correct... the 1960's design V8s and V6 respond better to other types of sparkplugs.
