Message: I know I may be pissing a few folks off with this post but I cant help myself. Every time I come on this site I see a new post about what the best oil or filter there is or what the best plugs to use. I realize there are some people who are new here(I was new here once) and just want to ask a simple question or two. I am guilty of asking such questions a time or two, but then I found an amazing feature here. Its called SEARCH. You can use it to view old threads about pretty much anything you can think of about our Daks. I have even seen two different questions about the same topic(best oil), one right after the other. I think it is great people want to get more hands on with there trucks, but the questions you seek have already been answered and all it takes is a bit of time to find all you have ever wanted to know. Please, I hope nobody takes offense to this thread, just speaking my mind.

I'm a newbie to the Forum only had my Dak for a little over a month, I used the Search to figure out what I wanted in a intake and muffler for my truck. And I've pretty well determined which oil I'll use for my first change by searching the posts. I was also glad to find SpeedTweaks from this site for my future major mods.
Great to have a web site dedicated to our trucks

Message: Andrew, go watch the football games! Who made you thread warden anyway?
This board is a participatory sport, not a study in someones idea of efficiency. It may be time to get a life...

Message: You are right, Andrew/Mopar, this board has an unusually good search engine. Maybe the board designer could make note of that on the front page so newbies would know how much is already available. Sometimes forget myself...

Message: Well Andrew, you are right but this isn't going to change anything. The new guys that aren't going to use the search feature, aren't going to read your thread either. Just try doing what I do - skip over the ones that I don't feel like getting involved in. It helps keep the blood pressure down and very theraputic (<- mispelled).

Message: im with you andrew. i guess there are a few of us that can actually read the "SEARCH" word.
the funny thing is, its usually the same people who answer the repeted posts and say the same thing. the thread usuall turns into a argument about which oil is better and it goes on for like 80 posts before it dies out then someone else wrights about the same thing. its a big circle

Message: I used search the other day trying to find the post about a "Jet Powered Dakota". Search could not find the message, no matter what approach I used to find the message! I had to manually skim through the titles pages at a time to find the post. Guess what the subject was? "Jet Powered Dakota?"
Imagine that! I work as a network administrator in a data warehousing corporation... Nothing like this surprises me anymore!

Message: My wife prefers the scented oil form Bath & Body Works at the mall. Seems to cause her to perform better. For the front balljoints, we prefer metal shaving oil. THe metal shavings allow the rubbing to occur on the metal fragments and not on the working parts. Increses life of front ball joints next to the high performance carburator.
