Subject: To all who have the Infiniti Sound Sys. IP: Logged
Message: Just recently my cd player in my truck has been making this wierd noise after about 5 minutes of playing a cd. I have the premium sound system by Infiniti (not bad for stock) that has the combo cd/tape player. Is this noise suppose to be there? It sounds as if the cd is being spinned hella fast. It makes a noise greater than just the ordinary humming noise cd's make. If this noise isnt suppose to be there, is the 3year/36k standard warrenty cover it being fixed?

Message: No probs with mine and noise. Mine has a 50% chance of playing a burned CD at any given time, even with the same CD. Sometimes it works in the morning, sometimes in the evening, but it always plays normals CDs. Weird, huh?
Nice looking truck, CW!

Message: One more vote for problems with the occassional burned cd, but no noise otherwise. If the burned cd acts up, I skip a track and go back, then it's fine. btw, my home cd changer does this as well. Some cd players won't play any burned cd's. I have the most problems with the 80 minute cd's, but usually o.k. on the standard 74 minute.

Message: Are you guys talking about the noise of the head moving around trying to make sense of the CD? The same as if you have it on random moving several tracks at a time between songs? If so, yeah, that's the unit trying to make sense of the encoding on the CD; I get that noise too.
My Aiwa home system doesn't even TRY with burned CD's. Playstation hooked up as an MD player does pretty well though, as well as a 5-year-old cheap Magnavox boom box!
