Message: Curt
I have the Low Profile (flush) LeBra from http://www.saddleman.com/ got mine at AutoZone $179.00 this was cheaper than I could find it online. I like the looks of the low profile better than over the edge, it was easy to install about 45 min. and it comes off easy if you need to use your bed to haul things.

Message: I really like my xtang cover. It is a type that latches similar to a zip lock bag, works great. Not a good cover if you plan to remove it when its
below 40 degrees or so. It dosen't stretch back on when it gets cold. If you have a tailgate cover you may have a mod to do, but not much trouble. If you don't take the seal of the piece that goes over the tailgate, the gate will close hard.

Personally I think Extang's "Black Max" is a very nice tonneau. Well made, looks great and the black rails, snaps and all really are a plus!

Message: I have a checkmate cover on mine & I love it. It's flush mounted (no buttons) and has hydrolic lifts. only cost $159. Well worth the $$$ on gas savings. There hard covers are resonably priced too. www.checkerpro.com 1800-944-9319

Message: Hey Benb,
How does the cover attach to the frame if there aren't any snaps or velcro? I would assume the only way to access the bed is to tilt the cover up? Kind of seems like a pain, soft cover, but still have to take it off like a hardcover when you haul something and it doesn't provide the security of a hard cover. I hope I am wrong because that is a great price. I am looking at a Berlin hinged cover for 215 from Carmac Direct. Sorry don't have the url right now.

Message: I'm on my second Dakota, went from a 97 cc to a 2001 quad. I have had extang saber covers on both. They look great with a sleek tight edge. They don't use velcro or snaps but a j-channel plastic that does seal like a zip-loc bag. I have my original one from my 97, complete. It should fit your truck, I believe the bed was the same size, 6 1/2 foot. If you are interested let me know, I'd sell it for $100. Includes frame, cover, bows, brackets, all hardware.

Message: I have a Roll-N-Lock on a 2000 Ext Cab Sport. I love it. And, it locks the tailgate shut. But, I don't remember what I paid for it.
