Message: My truck is a 97 SLT with the 3.9, it has about 50K miles on it and the past few days it's been acting up.
It usually happens when it's warm and I try to start it. I start it and then it cranks and then shuts back down. If i give some gas it will settle down and idle normally. Both the alternator and battery are like a month old so i don't think it's that, maybe it is the fuel system or something. I put injector cleaner in it regularly so I'm not sure what the problem is. Just started this about 2 days ago.
thanks guy, i appreciate any help....

Message: Kota...I've occasionally got that problem as well. Fires up fine in the AM but then (after warm up) it starts, idles around 300rpm, and almost dies. I clean my IAC solenoid every oil change (3500 miles) and that fixes is until next time. I clean mine more often due to the Nitrous and other mods on the truck.
