This past Monday, I was at the local grill for lunch. As Im pulling out, this little, old red toyoata pick-up stopped me. He came up to my door and said he used to have a truck just like mine, same color, long bed, 4x4, everthing. He said when he had the truck, it had a camper shell. he traded in the truck, and kept the shell. He said he tryed to advertise and sell it many times, but the truck was s o rare, that nobody bought it, and it wouldnt fit any other truck than an older model dak, long bed, and it matched the color. He told me if I wanted it, I could have it, I got his number, and picked it up the next day. there were 4 hole in the bed, 2 in each rail. the shell lined right up wth the holes, It was the same truck he used to have. He was the original owner, Im the 3rd. Isnt that cool, we meet up like that. But that little red toyota wasn't the only truck he had. I got to his house, and in the drive-way, a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 ext. cab 4x4. With a shell. It was a cool truck. So I cleaned up the shell today, and got some clamps for it. Puttin it on this Saturday. I might take a pick and post it.
I thought this was pretty cool.

its a small world out there!good luck with the cap.i bought my truck last year and it came with a glasstite raven cap on it and very happy it did.

Nah, he didnt metion anything about that. But he say his son drove it for a while, and didn't like the shell. So they took it off, and traded it in for a car. (dumb huh?) Anyway, he did say that when his son had it, he nicked a mailbox at the front left fender, I cant find anything really, must have not bean a big deal. He said one reason he traded it in was because lack of power. When I got the truck, it really lacked in power. But I made some improvements to help that, but mpg still sucks, 10mpg, it has more power than it did, but a very low power-to-fuel ratio.
