Message: Well, it doesn't bog anymore. But it does take a second longer and more effort to downshift (usually when I floor it). The whole linkage deal might be the problem, I wonder if the A500 is any different than the Gen III Dakotas (As in length of the TV cable). I also noticed that when its gunned it shifts into 3rd or 4th at 4000 rpms, I could of sworn it always shifted at redline for all gears.
I should have pictures for the truck soon on a website and the TB by next week.

Message: Bernd. I couldn't find the rest of the orignal post. I could only read the last two. Did you dynotest the 48mm TB? and what was that post regarding throttle linkage? I thought I read this a while ago. Was it in reference to the 48mm TB? I was hoping to scrap up funds for the 48mm TB because Bruce has two left. Thanks in advance for repeating your post.

Message: Oh @#$!...totally forgot to post the results.
Here they are:
Factory V8 TB (approx. 48mm) - RWHP/TQ Figures
197/262
Flometrics 48mm Billet TB - RWHP/TQ Figures
198/272 (Increase of 10ft/lbs TQ)
Flometrics 50mm Billet TB - RWHP/TQ Figures
208/278
Now keep in mind that the results were on a 1997 V6 (Supercharged) 3.9L. If you replacing the factory 42-43mm V6 TB with a factory/stock V8 TB...you'll notice gains right off the bat. Going from a V6 - Billet 48mm TB, you'll gain more TQ than the factory V8 TB. (Both the 48mm Billet and the Factory V8 TB's are just about the same bore size though.) Why the TQ and not the HP increases? That may have been my specific case...but the TQ is what gets you going...HP just keeps you going. The more TQ out of the hole...the quicker you'll be.
For the budget minded, the factory V8 TB is a good replacement for the restrictive V6 TB. If you're after every pound of TQ and HP out of your V6, the Billet 48mm is the way to go.
I also ran the 50mm due to the Supercharger on mine...more airflow requirement.
I also have one 48mm Billet TB left in case Bruce runs out. Never been used and ready to bolt on as well.
Kris, go into the previous portion of this thread for the TB linkage spring "in-field" fix. It works. As for the shift points, you may have to readjust your TV cable.

Message: Yeah, I've already tried the TV cable, it was as far back as it can go (even with the factory TB). Sometimes but not as much the truck will shift early when gunned, does the A500 shift off of RPM's or what speed your doing?

Going from a 42-44mm TB to a 48mm modified TB...guesstimating: 10-15RWHP and 15ft.lbs.TQ...depending on exhaust and intake restrictions (factory or modified).
I've never run a stock V6 to Modified V8 TB comparision. Hmmmmm.....hehehehe.
