Ok guys, I just got back from the dealer. I am looking for a 2001 Dak CC, with the V8. Here is what they got for me (and it's perfect!!!):

2001 Dakota SLT Plus Club Cab
4.7L Magnum V8
Heavy Duty Service Group
P235/75R15 Owl Tires - 15X7 Wheels
6-way power seats
Power Heated Fold-Away Mirrors
Power everything
Light Group
Deluxe Convenience Group
Front Floor Mats
Heat/Air

Can anyone give me an accurate guess on what I should be paying for this vehicle? It is new, not used. Thanks a bunch!!!

Go to the Carpoint site at http://carpoint.msn.com/

You can price the vehicle with the exact option packages and it will give you the MSRP and invoice, and there is also a link that shows any rebates or incentives. A general guideline is 3-5% over invoice on a vehicle with no rebates. This allows the dealer to recoup the cost of the vehicle itself plus advertising and the cost of running the dealership. I would imagine that on a remaining 01, you should have plenty of latitude in getting a good price, especially given the current fears of an economic slowdown. Another factor might be the area in which you're buying (are Daks or even trucks in general hot sellers there or do they sit on dealer's lots for months on end?) I know I'm not giving a dollar amount, but the math is easy to do with a little research, and knowing the local market helps as well.

I just bought my new 01 Dakota CC Oct 6 at that time they dropped the rebates on 01's but they did one better they gave the dealers $2,000. dealer cash to work with all said and done I got $3,500 off the sticker price of $21,740. and was very happy driving away in my new truck.
