Message: What's the break-in period you're talking about? All mine said was that during the first 1000 miles, "while cruising, frequent full-throttle accelerations (within accordance with local laws) will result in a good break-in." -- boy ... my truck's broken in REAL good.

Message: where is the 1000 miles coming from?
the owners manual says " drive moderatly for the first 300 miles. after the first 60 miles speeds up to 55 contribute to good break in. Several full throttle jabs are good. Never from a dead stop."
