Has anyone read the article in this months sports truck magazine on the RT shoot-out? It seems to me with some of the mods they have they should have ran quicket 1/4. There times seem terrible. Most were in the mid to high 15.

I was one of the trucks in the phot shoot. The temps were upwards of 100 degrees that day, and the LACR track where we were at is aroun 3000' altitude. Just for comparison, if anybody remembers the Lightning shootout they did a few months ago, the Lightnins had high 14 sec times.

Why couldn't the magazine have just sent someone over the Truckin' Nationals to see what the trucks run? Oh Yeah..... Because it was a Truckin' Magazine event. Not that ANY Dakota will show up in that magazine. You can bet that any mention of the Truckin' Nationals will feature a picture of a Silverado or an S10..... and both of them from the Show & Shine portion of the event! I think ALL of the magazines SUCK!

yeah I got the new issue yesterday,that magizine is terrible,made the trucks look bad,the article should have been twice as long and took some on track and engine photos,should have told everyone the elevation and weather conditions,and told us the 60' times,that would explain alot,and I am pretty sure Dan said he actually had blown BOTH head gaskets earlier in the day,so thats damn fast for a broken truck,and dont give Brian a hard time,I have met and raced with him,very nice guy and very nice truck,its not ugly,its unique.Brian is just trying things with his R/T that no one else ever has.But I think that magizine and truckin sucks,its all about HOTROD,CARCRAFT,MOPAR MUSCLE,ACTION,HIGHPERFORMANCE AND MOPAR NOW MAGIZINE.At least until someone makes a GOOD truck mag.Oh and I like motor trend and car and driver too.

They did take engine pics, so if they didn't print any it's not because they didn't have the pics. They also took some pics of the truck on the track. Taylor likes these trucks, and I'm sure she probably would have liked a better article, but she dosn't have final say of what gets printed.

I read the article and thought it pretty much sucked not to give the conditions, or at least correct the times for us (as a lot of the road testing magazines do). I think everyone of those trucks would be a full second faster in ideal conditions.
