Subject: Heater on=leaks IP: Logged
Message: My truck only leaks when the heater is on or if the switch is moved all the way to the hot side. I thought it was a bad waterpump, but shouldnt that leak more often? It leaks what seems like anti-freeze, but doesnt have that strong, sweet smell to it. What could this be?

Message: Try locating the drain on the outside of the firewall it may be plugged. Condensation will build up inside the heater housing and leak out. If it were a antifreeze leak then it would leak all the time because antifreeze flows through the heater core all the time.
