Ok I need help, I've had bad brakes for a long time. They suck, they feel warped and stuff. When I use them they are kind of jumpy, they jerk. they feel choppy, that describes them. I took the drums off and the tops of the pads were bevled (sp?) and had an angle on them. I was wondering it anyone knew what was going on with hem cuz I am clueless when it comes to brakes.
I can get pictures of the pads if that would help.

Brake problems are nothing new to Daks. I have a 2000 Dak thats had a lot of problems with brakes. I think your best bet is to go with aftermarket brakes all the way around. Unless your brakes have less than 12,000 miles or 12 months on them, Dodge wont warranty them anyway...

Join the Shuddering Viberating Pulsating club.

For what it's worth I'd would bite the bill and go for aftermarkets parts only $200. Get some powerslots with hawks "HPS", "HP+" or Performance Friction pads. Haven't looked into replacing the drums so can't help ya on that one.

Ordered my rims, next thing I'm doing it a bumper cover, grill and a nice paint, then the brakes. What would a rear disc conversion run? Probally alot. anyone did it? Was it worth it?
