Subject: NEW pics of my Quad Cab! IP: Logged
Message: I finally got some pictures back of my 2wd 2002 Quad Cab Dakota! Since I have owed it (for only a couple of weeks) I have installed a 3" body lift, got the bed liner sprayed on, installed a Rockford Fosgate 8" sub, and now I'm in the process of putting a 3" suspension lift on with 33" BFG's. I built a cheesy little site so you can view the thumbnails and if you have the patience you can view the larger pics as well. As soon as the suspension lift is completed, I'll post more pictures (which SHOULD be next weekend).
Here's the address:

Message: I am so glad to see those pics TallQuad!
You know from talking to me before that I am going to do the same thing.
Ok, I'm getting ready to order my 3" lift.
Which one did you order?
I notice you have the 5spd as well as I.
Anything you want to warn me about before I jump into this?
Thanks,
Your truck looks awesome!

Message: Thanks Ayrow - I used the Performance Accessories 3" kit (#60043). You can order the kit from JCWhitney.com or by calling them: 1.800.865.4227
This is JCWhitney's part numbers only:
97-99 Dakota 2wd: 81VZ6431T $156.95
2000(fits 01-02): 47VZ0213U $166.95
I forgot which year your Dak was so I listed both. Like I said before, the kit is straight forward except for the 5spd shifter. You will need to bend it to clear the floorboard or else you will not be able to shift. Make sure you know how your going to tackle this solution before you start or else you won't be able to drive your truck once it is lifted.
Eric B. - I put the sub behind the driver-side rear seat. Its a PERFECT fit. Although, I kinda miss the sound of a 10" (its only an 8"). I posted a thread on the Custom Audio board called "Installed 8" Sub in Quad" if you want details. I think this is the link...
