My front wheels (16" stock, unfortunately) are always covered in brake dust. I'm still on the OEM pads at 20,000 miles.

I saw that Pep Boys is selling a "ceramic" pad that does not generate as much dust.

Has anyone tried them?

Next time you rotate your tires, Clean them up and put a good coat of wax on the rims, inside and out. It won't stop dust, but will be easier to clean. Brake pads are cheaper to replace than rotors. IMO I would try to stay away from ultra hard pads unless you are having problems stopping. Or another solution would be to drive real slow all the time and sneak up on stop signs. hehe

I have the same problem. 2-3 days after a wash and the tires are dirty again. I was thinking about picking up a set of those disks that prevent the dust from getting on the wheels. I think its called Kleen Wheels?

I may be mistaken but I think Porshe pioneered the ceramic disk. I was thinkin about upgrading to these when my factory ones warp.

Chances are you'll end up putting on after market pads and rotors on eventually, judging from Dodge's track record when it comes to rotors warping prematurely. Might has well get what mileage you can from your OEM brakes before you have to replace them. And dont worry about voiding the warranty on your brakes, they are only warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
